The Hotel Carney, Virginia City, Nevada. "On the Bonanza Highway - Founded in the early 60s, the present structure was rebuilt after the destructive fire that destroyed the town in 1875. Still in use are the original furnishings, as well as the first elevator west of the Rocky Mountains. Many of the famous miners of the Comstock Era made their homes here. The location is just across the street from the famed Piper Opera House, which must have led to many a Glamourous Hour in this Hostelery.
