This dapper gentleman, with his intense look and mustache, exudes late 19th-century glamor. His hair is slicked back as was in vogue during the era, drawing attention to his piercing eyes and meticulous mustache. He is clearly a horse lover, perhaps an equestrian or farrier, as his tie features a small horseshoe-shaped pin!
The photograph itself showcases the lighter photographic style of the later 1800s, and the bottom of the mount card features an imprinted logo for Clifford and Son photography, active in Muscatine, IA around 1893.
Height: 5 5/8"
Width: 3 7/8"
