Back Information: … connecting greater New Orleans with the highlands of St. Tammany Parish to the North. This is the world's longest continuous water bridge, 23.89 miles. The first span was completed in 1956 at a cost of 51 million dollars, the second span in 1969 at a cost of $29,887,174.00. The almost 21 million savings was due to improved materials and the elimination of costly construction steps in the precast Section.
Condition: Good, soft corners, top 2 corners are slightly bent.
