Front: Denver Mountain Parks, Colorado - Panorama of the Lariat Trail, Lookout Mountain Road
Back: THE LARIAT TRAIL, as the road that ascends Lookout Mountain is called, is a splendid mountain boulevard that climbs 2,000 feet above its starting point in Golden in its six-mile climb to the top of Lookout Mountain. It winds its way around and over the hills like the loops of a far-flung Lariat, making the apt mess of its title beautifully apparent to those who gaze back.
