Back: UNION STATION, WASHINGTON The Union Station was built by the U. S. Government, the Pennsylvania R. R. and the Baltimore & Ohio R. R. The cost of the land, building and terminal improvements exceeded $18,000,000. and the structure is the finest railway station in the world. The building is of white granite, is 760 feet long, and 343 feet wide.
