Condition: The cover is in quite good condition, but the book was on the shelf next to the red cover of Tarzan the Terrible, and the seasonal humidity caused some color transfer. Plus, the corners have a little turning due to use. The inside is inscribed, Wellington Findlay, February 9 -1924. This date is used in several of the Tarzan Books I have listed. It could be this young man's 14 birthday as I found he was born in 1910. Maybe the set was handed down to him as a birthday gift?

The pages are in great condition, just some yellowing of the paper due to age, no writing or turned corners.. The Chapters do not have pen and ink drawings, like the Return of Tarzan Book of this same time period. It is only Roman Numerals and a tittle. It has an Illustration by J. Allen St. John as a front page with title page.
