Back: "The interior has frequently been compared to the White House in Washington, D.C. as to dimension, decorative theme and perfection of detail. A ship was chartered to bring hand carved woodwork, marble mantels, enormous mirrors, and bronze chandeliers from France and Italy. Built 1851."
