On front: “St. Mary’s Church, Mobile, Ala. ”
On back: A bronze tablet in the grounds of St. Mary’s reads: “This is the site of the Church and Home of the Poet-Priest, Father Ryan (1877-1882).” Another tablet on a window in the Church, dedicated February 5, 1928, bears this inscription: “In memory of Father Bryan, Priest, Patriot, and Poet, by the Children of the Confederacy.” The new St. Mary’s is a striking example of Spanish Renaissance Architecture.
