Photo of Miss Denise Orme, Famous English Singer - 1910s London Daly's Theater RPPC

Denise Orme, the stage name for Duchess of Leinster Jessie Smither, was an acclaimed music hall singer in early 20th century London. Her illustrious career included perfromances at Daly's Theatre and the Prince of Wales Theatre, and she was featured in a gramophone recording for an opera early in her career. This well-preserved photo shows Miss Orne in a fur scarf and hat with characteristic plume of feathers, and it was likely sold to fans of Miss Orne at the height of her career. Any opera fan or vintage clothing lover would love this photo as a gift!

This photo was a part of the Rotary Photographic Series, which featured postcard prints of several elegant postcards of actresses and actors between 1897 and 1916.
