1890s Women's Fashion Photo - Early Black and White Carré Photography - Grand Rapids, MI

This lady sat for a photo around the turn of the 20th century in Grand Rapids, MI. She shows off her exaggerated sleeves, typical of the "leg o' mutton" sleeve style of Edwardian America, and a large lace collar. This style was in a resurgence from the 1820s for a short time in the 1890s.  A beautiful lace bodice piece is inserted over the dress.
