Photo Young Woman in 1860s - Victorian Oval Cabinet Card - A Coming of Age Photo

This lovely young lady exudes regal elegance with her impeccable up-swept hairstyle, starched white collar, and pleated dress. There seems to be a meaningful necklace placed very noticeably on the lace collar.  In this era, young women of means were often offered up to the public at "coming out" Parties , This  maybe a social photo fro an event like that, or perhaps to announce her engagement.

Condition: Mild silvering of dark background. Adhesive residue from previous hangings on top and middle of back. Small chip at bottom right of back.
