Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe, Oldest Protestant Congregation in New Mexico - 1940s Linen Postcard
Back Information: "The first Presbysterian minister arrived in Santa Fe in 1849, the year following the annexation of New Mexico, but it was not until 1867 that the present congregation was organized. There were years of trouble and discouragement. The present church, which is only part of an institutional group of several buildings for church affairs was dedicated in 1939. These buildings all connected and in the Santa Fe Pueblo-Mission architecture, were erected through the generosity of friends from coast of coast, comprising nearly all denominations and religions."
