This RPPC advertises the Tachibanaya Ryokan, a traditional inn, at the historic Tennoji Onsen hot springs. The scene features many children playing in and around the springs with Meiji/Taishō-era clothing typical of the early 20th century.
This postcard contains pre-WWII Japanese language format, read from right to left. The front text says "Tennoji Onsen Tachibanaya Ryokan / Long-Distance Telephone No. 145", and the back says "Postcard", with a character in the stamp box that means "Frame".
