On back: K-39 - Mackinac Bridge The Mackinac Bridge, built t a cost of $100,000,000, was opened to traffic in October of 1957. It replaces the Michigan State Highway Dept. ferries, one of which is shown on a last trip across the Straits of Mackinac.
