Front: “Grand Canyon of the Colorado River, Arizona”
Back: The Grand Canyon of the Colorado River. “The rushingest, roaring east river” grinding ceaselessly at the rocks in the canyon over a mile beneath the rim; no words, no pictures can ever express the magnetic charm. The “North Rim” plateau, more than 11 miles across the canyon, is 2,000 feet higher than the “South.” In the distance is the junction where the Little Colorado joins its big sister on their playful journey to the Pacific.
