Back Information: "Home of Winthrop Sargent, first territorial governor of Mississippi. The doors are remarkable for their exquisite fan lights. Massively constructed with heavy inner bars, for protection against Indians and bandits. Columns nine feet in circumference. Contains a fine library, paintings by noted artists, marble mantels. Built 1803."
