Detroit zoo opened in 1927 and giraffes were introduced between 1930-1932. It is obvious from the photo, the zoo spent heavily to make extraordinary exhibits for the animals. Detroit was in a hey day, and donors to the zoo were probably ready with cash infusions. linen card in great condition. never mailed.
