Excellent condition: Galveston, The Horrors of A Stricken City by Murat Halstead, copyrighted 1900 by H.L. Barber. Published by the American Publishers' Association. "Valorie Keeler 1974" written on inside front cover. Book about the horror of a Hurricane hitting an unsuspecting city. Red linen cover embossed in Gold and Black Lettering, plus the picture of death and suffering on the cover. The cover is in very good condition, as is the rest of the book. There is some browning of the pages, the paper is not a high grade and exposure to humidity for 125 years has created this condition. The book when opened feels like has never had the spine cracked for reading. No corner creasing, 50 illustrations like new condition. the corner of the linen cover has a tiny open end on bottom corner of front cover and the spine has a little fading. This is a wonderfully intact copy from 1900.
Condition: above average to excellent
