Back: Quaint kitchen in Connelly’s Tavern on Elliott Hill built prior to 1795 when the Natchez territory was ruled by Spain. Here in pioneer days, bear meat, venison, wild turkey, wild duck, quail, rabbits were roasted and broiled for the guests of the inn, - hardly adventurers who’re e building a civilization in the wilderness of the Southwest.
