Back: Ballroom of Connelly’s Tavern on Ellicott Hill. Built prior to 1795 when Spain ruled the Natchez territory. While pirates, gamblers, hardly woodsmen, itinerant peddlers, fought and drank below stairs, in this elegant salon above where entertained the famous men of the day - Major Isaac Guion, Louis Philippe of France, Aaron Burr, Blennerhassett, Philip Nolan.
