This Valentine depicts a googlie eyed bird and boy “oogling!” each other. The boy finds the bird at a Valentine’s stand. The bird has a mechanical mouth which opens to say, “The price you must pay is your heart.” We found an online site that refereed to this card as a Charles Twelvetree design, He designed hundreds of Valentine cards for several companies in the 1920’s-30’s. The bottom of the card says, “You’re ‘Billed’ for this Valentine.” The card is made from thick paper or card stock. The card is in excellent condition, but does not have a company mark, it has a slight split in the card on the bird’s top feathers.
Dimensions: 5 inches wide and 6.5 inches tall.
