The stamp box dates this card to between 1904 and 1920, the hats the men are wearing tend to be 1915 style. The train is definitely in trouble and the men may be passengers. The weather, and the clothing, appears to be in the fall or spring in a Northern State. The card was found in an estate sale in Michigan, therefore may have been at a Michigan site. Many trains traversed Michigan at the beginning of the 1900s. The logging industry and the Fruit and Vegetable Farmers depended on quick trips to urban areas. There is some obvious silvering near the edges of the card.
