This hand-colored postcard shows off the famous Los Angeles Alligator Farm, complete with slides for the alligators ("Shooting the Chutes") and a pond with viewing area. Before the park was relocated in the 1950s and closed in the 1980s, children could ride on top of alligators and ladies dined in the alligator ponds.
Mailed March 3, 1913 from Los Angeles, California with a green one-cent George Washington stamp and San Francisco World's Panama-Pacific Exposition mark.
Condition: Mildly faded and used, but in great condition.
