On back: Afognak Island Covered Bridge, Alaska. Timber truss 122 ft., built 1929, spanned Afognak River near its mouth. Maintained by the U.S. Navy on the road that led to recreation camp. Legend is that it was destroyed in 1964 by an earthquake & resulting tidal wave.
